OSRP Services

OSRP provides comprehensive services for IIT faculty and staff on the preparation, review, approval, management, non-financial reporting requirements, and close out procedures of research and other sponsored project proposals. Our services extend to providing oversight for the pre-administration of awards for grants, contracts and other sponsored-related award instruments for federal and non-federal projects, including industry agreements.

NIH issues final policy for Data Management and Sharing (DMS Policy)

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is issuing this final NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing (DMS Policy) to promote the management and sharing of scientific data generated from NIH-funded or conducted research. 

eRA Reminder: Password Moving to Passphrase for eRA Commons Users Starting November 17, 2021

Effective November 17, 2021, users of eRA Commons (including Commons Mobile, ASSIST, and IAR) who change their passwords will be required to use a passphrase — a set of random words or a sentence at least 15 characters long — instead of a password. The change is designed to make passwords easy for users to remember but hard for others to guess. We previously communicated this change in a Nexus article and in targeted messages.

Effective October 4, 2021, the National Science Foundation (NSF) made a number of system updates for proposals submitted in, FastLane, and in accordance with the implementation of the Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 22-1).

Three New Proposal Types and Proposal Withdrawal Functionality

Effective March 22, 2021 the National Science Foundation (NSF) enabled three new proposal types in the Proposal Submission System and in the recently launched Proposal Preparation Demo Site.
