As part of the Urban Future Initiative at Illinois Tech, Associate Professor Julio Lumbreras from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) will present the seminar “Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities” this Friday, November 22 in IIT Tower Auditorium from 12:45–2:45 p.m. The seminar is free and open to the Illinois Tech community.
Researchers wishing to meet with Lumbreras to discuss collaboration opportunities are welcome to do so either the afternoon of Thursday, November 21 or during the midday of November 22. Please register for a time here.
Lumbreras is a member of the European Union Commission Expert Group: Mission Board for climate-neutral and smart cities, which is helping the EU plan its research agenda for 2021–27. He is also UPM’s United States liaison based at Harvard University and oversees Illinois Tech's collaboration with UPM.
